Soul Items
Soul items are consumable treasures found in chests throughout the world. Unlike Soul Essence dropped by enemies (which is auto-consumed on pickup), these items stay in your inventory until you choose to use them.

Where to Find Them
Soul items appear in dungeon chests, world chests, and other lootable containers placed by the world generator. The rarity and value of soul items found depends on the type of chest:
- Common chests (villages, camps, cabins) – lower-value soul items
- Rare chests (temples, ruins, fortresses) – mid-value soul items
- Epic chests (boss rooms, vaults, dungeons) – high-value soul items
- Legendary chests (treasure rooms) – the most valuable soul items
Player-placed chests are never populated with loot.
Strategy Tips
- Soul items act as a bank – they hold value without risking your soul counter
- However, they drop on death, so they’re not completely safe
- Consider consuming them before a boss fight to spend the souls on gear
- Or save them for when you need a large soul investment at a bonfire
